Hampton has a variety of natural resources including three state champion trees. They are the - Austrian Pine, Pinus Nigra
- Pecan, Carya illinoinensis
- Weeping Japanese Scholar Tree, Sophora japonica 'Pendula'
Bluebirds In 2001 volunteers placed Bluebird boxes in the park. We're delighted to see their work pay off handsome dividends. In 2004, thirty-seven Eastern Bluebirds fledged successfully, as well as nine tree swallows and six Chickadees. The park now hosts sixteen Bluebird boxes in which the birds continue to fledge.
